<strong>Describe it To Me</strong> is a multi-level game designed to enhance receptive and expressive language skills in both children and adults. Developed by a certified speech-language pathologist, the app incorporates a game show concept to engage learners effectively. By utilizing various questions focused on everyday items, Describe it To Me aims to deepen the understanding of language concepts.

The app is structured to promote a profound semantic grasp, with each picture stimulus accompanied by six questions that encourage a deeper level of comprehension about common objects. Apart from fostering semantic knowledge in children, Describe it To Me can also aid adults in rebuilding their understanding of language, ultimately enhancing lexical recall as suggested by research findings.

Adaptable for diverse skill levels ranging from basic categorization to advanced language proficiency, Describe it To Me serves as a valuable tool for speech-language pathologists, educators, parents, and caregivers. During gameplay, a spinner designates the active player, while users can easily switch between different target categories and language modes with just a tap or swipe. The facilitator retains control over turn-taking and category selection, ensuring a structured learning environment.

Upon completion of a session, users can access the report center where they can view client profiles, generate report cards or awards, and monitor progress over time. The awards system provides positive reinforcement by showcasing scores and achievements earned during gameplay. Detailed report cards are stored for each session and offer valuable insights for ongoing progress tracking. Additionally, the app offers a selection of homework worksheets at varying difficulty levels that can be conveniently printed or shared via email.

Describe it To Me features a settings menu on the player selection screen, allowing facilitators to customize various game aspects such as response feedback, visual and auditory cues, point display, and spinner usage. Moreover, users can tailor the word list according to individual preferences.
